الفَتَراتُ المُحاسَبِيَّةُ
 
Accounting Periods
 
The life of a business is divided into periods of equal length, such as a month, three months, or a year. Annual accounting periods (one year) are the most common. They are made equal in length to allow for comparison of revenues, expenses, and income earned by the business in one period with the same in other periods.
 
تَنْقَسِمُ حَياةُ المُنْشَأَةِ التِّجَارِيَّةِ إلى فَتَراتٍ مُتَساوِيَةِ المُدَّةِ مِثْلِ الشَّهرِ أو الثَّلاثَةِ شُهورٍ أو السَّنَةِ. ولكِنَّ الفَتْرَةَ الحِسابِيَّةَ السَّنَوِيَّةَ (الَّتي تَكونُ مُدَّتُها سَنَةً واحِدَةً) هِيَ أَكْثَرُ الفَتَراتِ اسْتِعْمالًا. فهذِهِ الفَتَراتُ تَكونُ مُتَساوِيَةَ المُدَّةِ وبهذا يُمْكِنُ عَمَلُ مُقارَنَةِ الإيراداتِ والمصاريفِ وصافي الأَرباحِ المُحَقَّقَةِ للشَّرِكَةِ في فَتْرَةٍ ما بما يُماثِلُها في فَــتَـراتٍ أُخْرى.
